Located a few minutes away from Val-d’Or in Abitibi-Témiscamingue, the Decelles Reservoir is a unique body of water bordering Northern Outfitters. Brimming with walleye and pike spawning grounds, this lake, formed in an ancient reservoir of natural salt, is without a doubt one of the best places for fishing in northwestern Québec. It is not uncommon to see fishers posing proudly with their 8 lbs walleye and 15 lbs pike after just a single day on the lake.
Each year, we maintain more than 125 baited sites equipped with watchtowers. Whether it is by bow, shotgun, rifle or even crossbow, several animals hunted around the Northern Outfitters made it into Pope & Young’s records. We offer bear hunting in a territory located in La Vérendrye wildlife reserve. Spreading over 9,000 square kilometers (about 3,500 square miles), our bear hunt is completely guided and includes food baits, transport to the site, skinning, evisceration, meat prepping and freezing. We offer a hunting experience either in the air (watchtower or tree-stand) or on the ground (tent), and last but not least, we have a success rate that is nearly 100%.
